Firth Tower Museum

Matamata Racing Club
The Matamata Racing Club, located at the Matamata Racecourse, two kilometres south of the eastern Waikato township of Matamata, is a centre of racing and training excellence.
Wairere Waterfalls Track
Just 10 minutes drive from Matamata, Wairere Falls Track weaves its way through moss covered rocks and tree roots. Large round boulders form natural pools and cascading waterfalls.
Gliding in Matamata
Gliding is an amazing sport and hobby, suitable for young and old. Conceived in 1957 and born in 1958, Piako Gliding Club has a long tradition of enthusiasm and excellence in soaring.
